Shazaam + Spandex + Gem Sweaters = Leslie Hall

I have been watching and following Leslie Hall for nearly two years now and the woman never ceases to amaze me. She is hilarious, bold and unapologetic, never missing a chance to flaunt her persona and take you along for the ride. Born in Ames, Iowa and younger than me (and much more successful… cut cut), she has been an oddball, nerd and Queen of all Gems for nearly a decade. She even has a wikipedia page. Of course… I have a Wikipedia page myself and if you care to check it out, feel free.

I even came across a Lady Gaga vs.  Leslie Hall remix that isn’t entirely too bad. I am not usually a fan of the “vs” crap, but hearing “Just Dance” played over “Gold Pants” makes me want to cut off my bits and eat them. Don’t judge me.

She's like an expiration date she's so tight.

One of our favorites of all time is “Zombie Killers” and she has made not one, but TWO videos for it. The first version below is the edited version, but it contains an intro from Elvira and it’s produced somewhat professionally. I say edited because when she says, ‘Shoot them in the brains” she is supposed to follow up with “even the little kids”, but in this version there is an echo. I couldn’t find an answer as to why this was done, but I assume it was for political correctness.  Who would be opposed to shooting zombie children, I just don’t know.

Here is the original, with the vampiric child abuse. Although it seems to be an earlier and less polished version of the above song, the added chorus by the zombie children is what sells itor f me.

Remember this the next time you think you’re hot shit. Stop and ask yourself this.

“When is the last time I put on a pair of spandex pants and rip rip rip ripped?”
