I found this while rummaging through some old essays and poetic babble this afternoon. I wrote this peace for myself, to give myself hope that one day people would not struggle against the very nature of freedom and acceptance. I had convinced myself that far into the future I would find myself standing amongst a crowd of people and I would have nothing to say. I wanted to be prepared.
On this day, a day like any other, a great testament will change its nature towards the path of history. No longer will the half hearted gods of hypocritical men rain down injustice in a tempest of ignorance and over indulgence. No more will men and women, boys and girls of all colors and creeds lay cowered in the corners while unbridled violence rocks the institutions of their security. I stand before you, a man, a son and a brother, but in all these masks I wear, I refuse to done the colors of victimization. Just as you too have faced adversity and pushed aside the shackles of bigotry, we must come together and summon a great force on which the winds of righteousness will prevail. Although we stand united without the aids of gods or doctrines, our voices will echo with the purity of thought and absence of fear.
I await the day when the laws of mankind are tempered with reason and not the blood soaked hands of necropolitan deities, a time in which common sense dictates the inalienable rights of all men, not that of dogma. So battered is my pride, that my words tempt to drip with venom, yet above my fury I all too well understand the value of a dignity most high, a dignity all of you share with me today.
No longer will blood shed in the name of scripture; no longer will tears be colored in the hue of absent holiness. In the great storms of our lives we will weather their relentless attacks, knowing full well that one day our dedication will be fruitful and our victories many. Throw off oppression, cast down the shadowy figures and puppets that walk amongst us, for no man among you is above your calling. No man among you can call you his slave and no man among you shall be heard calling master.
I hold, with my hands fully extended, the hope that one day men and women can love freely, no matter the pious doctrines and backwards religions of the minorities. I see in my eyes the vision that one day the words, “we hold these truths to be self evident that all men are created equal”, will shine like a beacon for all to see and with this singular and constant light, all indignities throughout the course of human history will be for not.
The power to change the world is in your hands, it is in your children’s hands and the hands of future generations. With this knowledge nothing can stop you, neither man, nor machine nor antiquated gods. I cry to you, rise up! Rise up and rebel! Let the world hear our anger and let that cry echo in a new era. Let no man push asunder and leave no stone unturned in the journey for freedom and equality. Let it be known to the masses incensed around the globe, that if god won’t bring about a revelation, our whispers will tremble the earth and ignite a revolution.

Full of shit, Full of saline
In her newly released book Carrie wrote, “God gave us our bodies, and it’s perfectly right that we use them in ways where we can give glory to God by making our bodies, our temples of the Holy Spirit, strong and fast.”
Ha!
Not only was she caught red fingered(?) with a masturbation video after she had spent the last year traveling around as the christian mouth piece of hypocrisy, but now she has been caught red handed 38 more times. Apparently, when she had claimed she had felt horrible for the video, she had to engage in naked sexomania another 38 more times until the moral lessons had set in. I can relate to that, because sometimes I have to masturbate 2 – 3 times before I really feel at peace. Carrie and I are like lone sex warriors, except I never claimed to be a virgin. I just lament it.
TMZ has obtained several more pictures and major porn company Vivid Entertainment has somehow gotten their hands on a copy of her alleged finger walking wank session. There have been several stories circulating that Prejean was only 17 during the filming of these videos, but more and more evidence is surfacing that she was of legal age to pleasure herself for the enjoyment of others. I just barfed a little.
Now, these TMZ photos have not been found by myself and I won’t be posting them on here because I really don’t want to see some naked idiot talking out of their ass. I can just as easily do that in the shower by myself. However, if I do come across them, I may link to them in the hopes that even more people see this ideologue for what she is.
Let this be a lesson to all of you holy rollers. Keep your faith to yourself and don’t step on the rights of others. If you can’t follow these simple rules then I suggest you create a time machine and go back through your life, making sure you don’t do anything remotely sexual, lest we find your perversity and show the world the hypocritical bitch you are.

Great, now I am Mormon AND gay. Tricky bastards...
It’s official everyone! The Mormons have blessed us by coming down from the mountain top and have allowed us the honor to live unfettered and free. Of course, we still can’t get married and they plan on continuing their witch hunt and vile diatribe against us, but hey, they said we can work without fear of being fired for our sexuality! …or at least they support such a thing, but they don’t plan on spending millions on such a ballot measure. I don’t know about you but… THAT’S AWESOME! Nothing says, “Sorry for shitting on your rights with our crazy underwear religion” than extending the olive branch of common fucking sense.
Sarcasm aside, this was an arrogant and foolish move. I can only imagine they are still suffering backlash from prop 8 and are worried that the new Prop 8 documentary will continue the blood loss. The problem with this is that they are continuing their member exodus by driving another wedge down the middle of their church. After reading the comments on the Deseret web site, there are plenty of Mormons who are upset or even furious with this move. Apparently their are Mormons who feel we should, not only be treated like a second class mother in law, but that we are not even worthy of equal housing protection. It’s bad enough that they design such gaudy and ugly temples for God, but now they can’t even appease the nuts at their base. I suggest a massive influx of magical underwear and polygamy, STAT!
I am hoping this is just the start of something grand and we continue to see the church suffer from a lack of civic responsibility and constitutional understanding. I would say it’s about time that we revoke their tax exempt status, but in the United States of Jesus Land, faith speaks louder than fact and bogeymen are quickly made into gods.
In a rare public appearance before Salt Lake City lawmakers Tuesday night, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints supported two proposed ordinances protecting gay and lesbian residents from housing and employment discrimination.
An LDS Church representative read a supporting statement at a public hearing before the Salt Lake City Council regarding the ordinances proposed by Mayor Ralph Becker.
“The church supports this ordinance because it is fair and reasonable and does not do violence to the institution of marriage,” said Michael Otterson, managing director of the LDS Church’s public affairs office.
Otterson added that the statement of support is consistent with the church’s prior position on such matters, as well as its stance on marriage. Both are found in the church’s August 2008 statement titled “The Divine Institution of Marriage.”
That statement, released prior to California’s Proposition 8 vote last year on a constitutional amendment defining marriage, says the LDS Church “does not object to rights regarding hospitalization and medical care, fair housing and employment rights, or probate rights, so long as these do not infringe on the integrity of the family or the constitutional rights of churches and their adherents to administer and practice their religion free from government interference.”
And in his comments Tuesday night, Otterson underscored the LDS Church’s position on marriage.
“The church remains unequivocally committed to defending the bedrock foundation of marriage between a man and a woman,” he said.
I must have misunderstood the purpose of marriage and for that, I should be severely punished. I was always under the impression that the bedrock of marriage was commitment, love and support. Apparently all a marriage requires for a solid foundation is the presence of a penis and a vagina.
This explains Donny and Marie.

We are all biting our nails tonight, terrified that we may once again feel the sting of oppression and the pain of rejection. Terrified that we have felt this night before, that we know its outcome. That the simplest of joys and rights can so easily be torn from our hands, ripped away and scattered to the winds. We have seen much sorrow and much sadness in our times, but we are not without our victories. We are not without our strengths and our determination is far greater than any hate speech or scare tactic. We are alive, you and me, all of us together, in the stomach churning, acidic wasteland that is life and the human condition. We are connected and we will overcome. There is little in this world that is certain, but never have a people fought so hard for their freedom, only to be denied.
Oppressors move with history and are taken over by its wake, no matter how long they may find themselves riding the surf. We will be triumphant and no matter the outcome of tonight, we will win. You and I and every freedom loving individual in this world will win this battle and we shall look back on these days with fond memories. Memories of oppression, but of much more… memories of our cohesion and determination to fight
Remember this. We are a more determined to be free than they are to hold us back.
Hopefully the words of the Harvey Milk will remind us jut how far we have come and how far will can and will still go.

Final Update at 10:29PM (PST)- Well, it looks like we lost. Once again, we have been denied our civil rights and must now fight again. It may well just be this moment in time, but I for one, am exhausted. I am tired, tired of fighting, tired of screaming, tired of writing and tired of changing hearts and changing minds. What do I want to do right now? I want to break some noses and declare open war. I am well aware that violence solves nothing, but onlyt attributes to sensational cable news ratings, but I am angry. When Prop 8 passed in California, my hatred and seething anger towards these people consumed me all night and well into the next day. When do we stop asking and start taking? At what point do we stop saying, “Please sir” and start saying, “Now, or else”?
I do not have these answers. I am tired and angry, but I am far from done fighting. I will walk down the aisle with my boyfriend and one day I will teach my kids of the olden days of bigotry and intolerance. I will teach them of the days before equality, before America kept her promises.
I know we are winning and I know that history is on our side, but for once it would be nice to see some successful blows land into their camps.
For once, I would like to see them cry and see them shed their blood, sweat and tears.

Update at 7:51 PM (PST) - We are at 50.8% for yes and 49.2% for no. I am a little bummed that so many people have voted to take away the rights of their fellow citizens. I still believe we are going to win this, but it sends an even clearer message if we could do so by a large margin.
